OSH STUDY OF LITHOGRAPHIC PRINTING PRESS
What are the main health and safety concerns in a lithographic printing press? A study conducted in Nairobi seeks to provide some answers. The study conducted in a printing press located in one of the busy industrial areas in Nairobi County in Kenya aimed at identifying the hazards present, as well as assessing the adequacy and effectiveness of the current control measures. The study also recommends appropriate cost effective remedial actions.
The researcher examined the workplace OSH management system, systematic inspection of all the section activities, and held discussions with some members of staff at the premises. The findings were compared with the provisions of HSE, ILO-OSH, Occupational Safety and Health Act, (OSHA) 2007 and the health and safety regulations made under the Act.
