Kenya’s single use plastic ban takes effect

POSTED: 21st Jul

As Kenya looks forwards to adding value to their raw products, the processing of these products needs to be available to them to do so. With the African Continental Free Trade Agreement in place from January 2021, the opportunity to trade within Africa is huge and finished products provide the most value.

In Kenya, the agricultural sector is the backbone of the economy, contributing approximately 33 percent of Kenya’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The agriculture sector employs more than 40 percent of the total population and 70 percent of the rural population.  and accounts for about 65 per cent of exports. Kenya also has one of the largest and most developed dairy sectors in sub-Saharan Africa. It accounts for about 4 per cent of GDP and grows 4 per cent annually.

We are offering you an opportunity to be a part of this growth as we cover the entire Agri-value chain.
